When we drive around different areas there are some that we would happily pay our taxes to maintain and establish. Problem is that these areas don't need tax money and would happily organise amongst themselves. The areas we wouldn't pay for are the areas that take most of the tax money and are perpetually dependent on tax money. It's a black hole a money pit. Income tax.
